Privacy

Short version: we do not receive your quiz answers. The quiz and rules run in your browser. There is no account, database of answers, or analytics. Like any website, the hosting provider receives ordinary request information needed to deliver each page, but your answers are not included in those page requests.

what this site stores (on your device only)

  • Your four quiz answers, saved in your browser's local storage so your routine is still there if you come back.
  • Your light/dark theme choice, if you toggle it.
  • An offline copy of the site's own pages, so the app still works without a connection. It's the same content everyone gets, and it never includes your answers.

That's the entire list stored by Skinformed in this browser. Wipe all of it any time (this also clears your answers from the address bar):

what never happens

  • No accounts, sign-ups, or email capture forms. We receive your address only if you choose to email a correction.
  • No analytics, ad trackers, pixels, or fingerprinting scripts.
  • No cookies that would need a consent banner (no cookies at all).
  • No third-party embeds phoning home. Fonts and code are self-hosted.
  • No server-side collection of quiz answers. Not even “anonymized,” not even “to improve recommendations.” The rules engine runs in your browser.

about share links

Your routine's address looks like /plan#a=13-15&s=oily&c=breakouts. Everything after the #is a URL fragment. Browsers never send fragments to servers, so even the hosting provider can't log your answers. Share the link and it carries your four answers to the next device, nothing more.

when you email a correction

Correction links open your email app. If you choose to send a message, the email providers involved receive your email address, message, and the usual delivery information under their own privacy practices. Skinformed does not add that message to your quiz data or use it for marketing.

under 13

Skinformed is built for teens 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. An under-13 answer immediately opens a friendly hand-off page. It does not save a quiz result or create a routine.

the formal bit

Skinformed does not receive quiz answers, create user accounts, run analytics, or sell or share information for advertising. All quiz computation happens client-side. Locally stored preferences (quiz answers and theme) remain under the user's control and can be deleted with “Clear my data” or by clearing browser storage. The hosting provider processes ordinary request information needed to serve the site. The site sets no cookies and loads no third-party resources at runtime. If this policy changes, the change will be described here in plain language before it takes effect.
